Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

At Ecoplaid Cleaning, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is designed to protect the time of our cleaning professionals and ensure fairness to all clients.

By booking with us, you agree to the following terms:

1. Rescheduling Policy

You may reschedule your cleaning at no cost if you notify us 24 hours before your appointment.

If rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, a late rescheduling fee may apply because a cleaner has already been assigned and reserved for your time slot.

2. Cancellation Policy

To cancel without penalty, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

Late Cancellation (less than 24 hours)

A late cancellation fee may be charged to compensate our cleaners for reserved time and travel preparation.

Same-Day Cancellation

Same-day cancellations may be subject to a full or partial service charge, depending on the circumstances.

3. Lockout / No-Access Fee

If our cleaners arrive and cannot access the property due to:

  • No one home

  • Wrong code or lockbox information

  • Blocked or restricted entry

  • Pets not secured

  • Unsafe conditions

 

… a lockout fee may be charged because the cleaner traveled to your home and reserved time specifically for you.

4. Illness, Emergencies & Special Circumstances

We understand emergencies happen. If you or someone in your home is seriously ill or facing an urgent situation, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will do our best to accommodate without penalty.

Similarly, if a cleaner becomes sick or faces an emergency, we will notify you immediately and reschedule at your convenience.

5. Changes in Home Condition or Scope

If the condition of the home has significantly changed since booking (e.g., unexpected clutter, guests staying over, extra rooms needing service, heavy buildup, construction dust), we may:

  • Adjust the price

  • Extend the duration

  • Reschedule if we cannot complete the job within the time allotted

 

This ensures fairness and quality for both you and the cleaning team.

6. Weather or Safety Concerns

If severe weather or unsafe conditions prevent our team from reaching your home safely, we will reschedule your service at the earliest availability without penalty.

7. Recurring Appointments

Recurring clients (weekly, biweekly, monthly) receive discounted pricing.
If a recurring appointment is skipped or canceled, the next cleaning may require:

  • A deep clean fee, OR

  • A price adjustment if the interval exceeds 45 days

 

This is because longer intervals naturally result in more buildup.
